Three Super Confusing Little Words

In. On. At. Three little words, so much confusion. They describe WHEN and WHERE things are. Use these simplified charts to help you remember how to use them.

WHERE?
In: Use for enclosed spaces, cities, countries.
On: Use for surfaces, streets, certain things.
At: Use for specific locations and exact addresses.

WHEN?
In: Use for months, years, seasons, parts of the day.
On: Use for days of the week and specific dates.
At: Use for specific times.
A few examples:
I'll see you ON Friday AT 9:30am AT the new coffee shop.
IN Canada there is no school ON Sundays.
The train arrives AT half past four.
AT this very moment, somewhere IN Canada, someone is drinking hot chocolate IN a cozy cabin.
I always drink coffee IN the morning, AT my desk, AT 8:02am.
